"SKINZ" - This quilt makes use of the "Turning Twenty" quilt block. It has been done using various animal print fabrics. I was fortunate enough to be in Kansas City area attending MQS this year and while there found the animal panels at a little fabric store in Overland Park, Ks. I had already put the top together, but when I arrived home I took it apart in the center and placed the panels. They were a perfect marriage for the quilt. Oh, by the way, my Mom and Dad absolutely love it.

Multicultural and Character Education Quilt - Students (K-4), staff, principals, & custodians traced their hands or drew hearts on fusible web. Teachers, aides, and stay at home mothers helped to cut out all the appliques once they were fused onto the felt. The appliques were first fused and then sewn to each orange quilt block. 4th grade students made the patterns for the center medallion by tracing their arms and drawing a globe. All sewing and quilting was completed by the school counselor. The quilt hangs in the school cafeteria to remind students daily of the principles of character education and multiculturalism.

Journey to Costa Rica Quilt - Quilt was made to raise funds for a mission trip to Costa Rica. This was an answer to prayers. Close to $3,000 was raised.

Springtime in the Mohave - Multiple blocks of varying sizes, bordered and an area to embroider with numerus borders, one of flying geese. Wonderful design which can be varied numerous ways for any theme.

Overlooking the Bay- Part 2 - This quilt uses Silhouette Quilting and I made Part 2 for my friend, Karen, for Christmas. She saw the Part 1 version last summer and requested a similar design for her Beading Studio. I free-motioned the sky using yellow and orange variegated thread and added a nest (embellished with variegated wool). The Blue Heron stands tall overlooking the bay with silver beads simulating water splashing onto the rock.

Rose Garden Sampler - I purchased a leftover kit in its entirety from one of the participating shops and adapted the layout.

Face the Sun - The head of the flower is made with brown scraps fused on a black background covered by a gold mesh and machine quilted. The petals are loose and tacked down in places.

Emily's Illusion - This was a graduation quilt for my daughter. She wanted a black and white quilt that looked like an optical illusion.

Peacock Triaxial Weave --Hoffman Challenge 2008 - A friend told me about a class where she is weaving fabric to make a quilt...Yeah Right!! Guess who is hooked? A very fun and informative class. Teach is great also.

MY Shining Star - I used snowball blocks to frame the pictures and used the Ohio Star as the border

WindMills - I wanted to design a pattern that would show off the graduation of the three colors in each color group. I was very pleased witht the results. I use this quilt if I need a nap and want to snuggle for warmth.

In my Garden - I love this quilt. It is in my familyroom and is used everyday

Mom's Birthday - This quilt was made for my mom's birthday

The Stars will Guide You - We use this quilt everyday. It is on the sofa to protect the fabric. We have dogs. My husband gave me the beautiful batik fabrics for my birthday. He's a keeper!

Mountain Tops - This quilt was inspired during a time of wanting to go to the mountains of NC. I was missing that mountain top feeling, so I created one.

Frog Choir - I made this for a dear family friend, one of the original crazy hippie surfers! Even tho' his remaining hairs have turned white, he's still helping to keep Austin weird and I know he'll love this!

Gage's Quilt - This is my first quilt ever! I made it for my niece's first baby...Gage.

Keeper - I took my Screen Name from this quilt. I made it for my friend's birthday, but couldn't bear to give it up, so I made another just like it. I named mine "Keeper", and hers "The One That Got Away"---because of the fish in the convergence!
