Candy Strip

Jackie's Wedding Quilt - One of my first quilts, messed up the cutting so nothing fit and I fudged all the seams. Didn't know how to quilt in the ditch so all of the quilting is off too. The binding is a horrible green that doesn't go, but somehow, Jackie loves it for all of it's quirks and she keeps it on her couch for all to see. :-) All in all, a fine beginning quilt.

In Memory of Ian - Made in memory of our little friend, Ian, who inspired us all with his courage and faith, and who loved bugs most of all--"Our Little Bug-Man".

Jelena's Can of Worms - This beautiful quilt was pieced by my mother-in-law. She generously gave it to me and I had it quilted on a long-arm.

Joseph's Coat - I used Daiwbo fabric, serenity line. It seemed to take forever to make but once it was quilted and hung I just love it.

Chelsea's Graduation Quilt - Made to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Hendersonville High School and her upcoming attendance to Gardner-Webb University. HHS mascot is the Bearcat and GWU's is the bulldog. Same colors.

scrappy fun - The second quilt I made, lots of scraps from other sewing projects.

New Year Resolve - New Year cleanup of odd fabric cut into 2 1/2" squares. Inspired by TQS Quilt #1008880 by mtcreekquilters.

Friendship Star - Variable Star Quilt Group project. For my quilt, I chose the LeMoyne Star pattern and autumn colors. Each member pieced one block and I finished making the top and quilt.

Sherbet Baby Quilt - This quilt was made for my great niece Sadie

Thimbleberries Village - Our quilt guild did this as a block of the month.

9 year quilt - I started this quilt years ago, and would work on it at retreats. I decided that I was going to finish it and jokingly called it my 9 year quilt.

Hawaii Calling - I made this quilt for a challenge at my quilt guild. I have been following Ricky Tims instructions on making a rhapsody quilt. Once I got the initial design up, the colors reminded me of a sunset in Hawaii. I filled the areas with applique images of memories of a trip I took there. I heavily quilted this, unfortunately you can not see the quilting. There are feathers and hibiscus quilted in black thread around the outside border.

Rhapsody in Red - This quilt is the Carolina Longarm Association's 2007 Raffle Quilt.

Found Hearts - I aquired this unfinished quilt top from a donated storage unit in Arkansas. All I know is: I think the makers name is Donna and from the accompanying literature I think it was made around 2003 possibly in Springdale, AR. Just wanted to share it with everyone. There are many uncompleted blocks with it. I'm sure the maker was either planning on making it bigger or making 2 seperate quilts.

from grandma t - This quilt is my 2nd, made for my first grandchild. I fussy cut boyish images from a variety of fabrics and used bright borders to help him learn basic colors and animals. The border is stippled and the blocks have loops and flowers in the solid color edges.

For Olivia - This was my first quilt made for the first grandchild of a family friend. I had more confidence than good sense, but still managed to get it done in one month. I adapted blocks from a book of potholders
