Fat Quarter Sampler
Name of Maker: Pat Leask
Fat Quarter Sampler - Took original design from the 3 magazine issues that featured it and added more blocks to make it a queen size (used EQ6) and changed colour scheme to a more "earthy" country look. Quilted by machine (Brother 1500PQ) on a super-quilter frame. Loved buying fat quarters for this and making the many traditional "sample" blocks. Is now on my son's guest bed - so we may actually get to use it what we visit! :)
Ties that Bind
Name of Maker: Pat Leask
Ties that Bind - Made for or my parents 50th anniversary incorporating pictures from 4 generations of our family. Printed scanned pictures onto fabric (fabric treated with Bubble Jet and ironed on freezer paper!) - they were then machine appliqued on using decorative stitches. Some "charms" also added for "sparkle".
Latte Quilt
Name of Maker: Pat Leask
Latte Quilt - This quilt is a great collection of embroidery designs, put together in this "rich" looking design. Was some what of a challenge considering I only have a small hooped embroidery machine - but I perservered and loved the final result. I increased the borders somewhat to a "large" queen size and also learned a lot about free-motion stitching on all the borders! Even made a matching wallhanging and pillow cases!
T-shirt memories
Name of Maker: Pat Leask
T-shirt memories - Made from some of many t-shirts saved from my son's wardrobe over the years.

Cotton Theory quilt
Name of Maker: Pat Leask
Cotton Theory quilt - I had always wanted to try one of these since seeing Betty Cotton do this "style" of quilt on Sewing With Nancy so did this totally reversible design - this side in a rainbow of mainly "fossil ferns" - other side in burgundy, blue and green. I used a number of celtic motifs I found in EQ5, digitized them and embroidered each light square with one - as daughter loves all things celtic! Totally diff. way of doing a quilt but great if you prefer working on smaller pieces and "quilting" as you go! Takes some planning for fabric - and more fabric due to the larger seams which get trimmed as you go along. Daughter loved it!
100 Wishes Quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Watts
100 Wishes Quilt - Friends and family of our new grandson sent small squares of fabric to me to be used in a quilt containing good wishes for the new baby.
All American
Name of Maker: Karen Snedeker
All American - Made for Niece's husband who is former military man with a love of eagles. Eagles were machine embroidered. White area includes embroidered stars. Border and center of star blocks were free motion quilted in star pattern. Hope he likes it!

Name of Maker: Yvonne Jenkins
Titania - A Bodice - My inspiration was "A Midsummer's Night Dream", The character of Titania, Queen of the Faires, I wanted the bodice to glow with the warmth and the colours of a Midsummer night in the forest. (Rear View) Front view in personal photos.
Strips & Tulips
Name of Maker: Joan
Strips & Tulips - Louisa L. Smith's book A New Twist on Strips 'n Curves was so much fun to see how the fabric would burst forth from the strips.

Coffee Lover
Name of Maker: Carolyn1965
Coffee Lover - Saw a tea cup wall hanging in Amish Country. I love coffee and thought it'd be cute to remove the saucers and make my wallhanging of coffee cups. The four corners are photo copied pictures of my favorite coffees.
