Purple Cone Flowers
Name of Maker: Lauradublin
Purple Cone Flowers - This was a kit that I bought in Lancaster. It was totally different than anything I did at the time and was really stepping outside my box. I loved it and it was the beginning of me doing more and more on a new pathway.
Summer Flowers
Name of Maker: Lauradublin
Summer Flowers - This was a charm pack that I bought at the beginning of summer that made me think if the nice days ahead. Of course, it was October by the time I actually got it done!!
Unnamed
Name of Maker: Kay Vail
Unnamed - This quilt was created as the result of a class and used to learn various styles of applique. The pattern was purchased and the teacher of the class enlarged the pattern for each square from pillow size to quilt size. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the pattern or its creator. It is one of my favorite quilts. It was a stride forward for me in free motion/echo quilting and applique.

Unnamed - Talented Quilt Artist Elena Marin from Oxford, NY, taught a class using her award winning aquatic quilt as the "idea starter." Elena drew the templates for a fish, and two of the plants in the quilt. She exhibited several of her creations to help students understand her techniques and apply them to this quilt. It was a privilege to be her student.

Unnamed - After seeing Ricky Tims on Alex Anderson's Simply Quilts, I was fortunate to receive Ricky's book, Convergence Quilts, as a gift for Christmas. I used his instructions and a little applique of my own to create this quilt.
Waltz of the Pineapples
Name of Maker: Maureen Barber
Waltz of the Pineapples - The quilt was foundation pieced on muslim fabric. I used a rubber stamp to put the design on the foundation fabric first.
Teddy Bears
Name of Maker: Beth
Teddy Bears - I was going to make a fabric book from one of the Simply Quilts show, but changed my mind and put the teddy bear squares together in a quilt. My only rule in making the quilt was - have fun and don't worry about mistakes. It was a VERY fun quilt to make even if there are a number of noticeable mistakes = mostly in the quilting. It lives in my son's room. (still need to measure the width and height - it's a small wall size quilt)
Stairway to Heaven
Name of Maker: Maureen Barber
Stairway to Heaven - This quilt used 29 from The Quiltmaker's Gift fabric line plus other fabrics to create a challenge quilt to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Quilt Patch store.
Sunrise, Sunset
Name of Maker: Maureen Barber
Sunrise, Sunset - This quilt is the result of a guild challenge whereby each entrant was given set fabrics and told to use at least some of each. I found the paisley fabric the most difficult to incorporate and thus it ended up in the border stars.
Star Bright, First Star I See Tonight
Name of Maker: Maureen Barber
Star Bright, First Star I See Tonight - This was a personal challenge to see if I could indeed machine piece finished size 3" blocks.
Amish Rock
Name of Maker: IRedS
Amish Rock - Made for my musician son Brent for Christmas -- the dark background and deep colors reminded me of an Amish quilt, so named it Amish Rock. Machine pieced, hand quilted.
Chloe's Redwork
Name of Maker: IRedS
Chloe's Redwork - My second redwork crib quilt -- no picture of first one. This was done for my Granddaughter Chloe before she was born.
Kristen's Sweet 16
Name of Maker: Sara Wood
Kristen's Sweet 16 - This is my second quilt ever made. I used the figures from the Inuyasha cartoon (Kisten's favorite at the time) and made her a quilt for her "sweet 16". I referenced her black and white cartoon books (which figures are quite small). I scanned the cartoon figures, blew them up, mirrored and used a reflection technique to trace them on to fabric. Once traced I used crayon to set the color in the faces before finishing the faces in hand embroidery. Blocks were constructed from 50+ batik fabrics with no similar blocks touching. I was completely self taught at the time so obviously I did all of these steps the hard way including piecing the entire back of the quilt! I made a matching pillow. She currently has this quilt with her at college.
Falling Leaves
Name of Maker: Sara Wood
Falling Leaves - Hard to see in the photo, but this has a trapunto leaf in the middle of each block. Stipple quilted. Inspired after taking Paula Reid's class on machine quilting and trapunto. Just finished binding on 11/28 and haven't even washed yet!
Kelsye's Umbrellas
Name of Maker: Jeanette Dean
Kelsye's Umbrellas - My 4 year old granddaughter, Kelsye, loves to play in the rain with her umbrella and rain coat. I couldn't resist making this quilt for her when I saw the applique umbrella pattern and the paper pieced child with the rain gear. I was able to raid my quilt stash to make this quilt
Liane Loves Pooh
Name of Maker: Jeanette Dean
Liane Loves Pooh - My 21 month old granddaughter, Liane, loves Winnie the Pooh so it was a joy to make this quilt for her.
Stained Glass
Name of Maker: Sara Wood
Stained Glass - Made in class taught by Marianne Simmons. Class taught at Patchwork Plus in Dayton Virginia.
My First Quilt
Name of Maker: Sara Wood
My First Quilt - This is the first quilt I ever made. I won't go into details, but I SOOOO did not know what I was doing and every step was done the very hard way!!
