Happy 60th!
Name of Maker: self
Happy 60th! - What a great way to make a lovely quilt- no fretting over the design at all. Once I'd chosed the fabric, the rest was easy. .. and the quilt turned out amazingly! I made it for my sister, who is also a quilter. She does not have a single quilt that she has made for herself, she gives them all away. It was her 60th birthday, so we flew into Ls Vegas from opposite sides of the country. we met at the airport, and I was so excited i gave it to her right there!

Name of Maker: Mariet

Summer Memories - I wanted to capture two memories in this Journal Quilt from this summer. The first memory was my daughter and my attendance in La Veta, CO at the taping of The Quilt Show. The guest for that show was Jean Wells, who shared her techniques from her new book "Portraits of Nature". The second memory was from my morning walks - lots of beautiful flowers along the way on my ~2 mile walk! I appreciate the rich colors of these flowers and their brilliance and stregnth at dawn!

Heron Pond
Name of Maker: Karen Snedeker
Heron Pond - I got a new Bernina 730 & wanted to test the BSR - it is fantastic! You can see the accuracy of the stitches in the free motion leaves surrounding the pond and outlining the leaves in the border. This started as a kit, got swapped mostly for fabrics in my stash, and was enhanced with extra machine quilting. Also added decorative stitches to attach binding and was pleased with results. Love that BSR!
Name of Maker: Patti Hempen
"Organized Chaos" - This is just another of my collection of kaleidoscopes and actually the 5th of this particular pattern. The 100% cotton fabric was a print of bright yellow and gold daises amongst other florals and greenery. What can I say, I'm addicted.
