Flight School
Name of Maker: Sally Pelikan
Flight School - In the summer of 2006 we had a split second glimpse of a gaggle of geese fly overhead - they were all over the place, bumping into each other. I said "What's wrong with those geese?" My husband said, "They're learning to fly in formation." Light bulb! Of course - Flight School!

Moonglow - Made as a gift for my son, who has always been close to the earth.
Sugar Plum Fairy

Sugar Plum Fairy - This quilt was my entry in the Hoffman Challenge this year. It didn't win but it was chosen to travel with the winners. I may not be able to attend the large quilt shows but my quilt will! I was very excited!

Two Doll-Babies, One Quilt

Two Doll-Babies, One Quilt - I made this little doll quilt for Veaya so she could cuddle with her baby. Aren't they both dolls?
Dreamgirls for Hubby
Name of Maker: Shana Clay
Dreamgirls for Hubby - The main fabrics come from a Alexander Henry line. I fussy cut the gorgeous pin-up girls doing outdoor sports and then added colorful sashing around each block. I also fussy cut some moose, bear, cabins, canoes, and fish to give the overall quilt some "balance" (cuz it can't just have only gorgeous women in there!!). Sweet dreams, hubby...
Jungle Girl
Name of Maker: Shana Clay
Jungle Girl - When Veaya turned four, she got a "big girl bed" so I decided that she absolutely must have a big girl quilt to go on it. I used fabrics from Laurel Burch's Jungle Songs collection and I added sashing and bright blue cornerstones between the blocks.
A Purple Mystery
Name of Maker: Shana Clay
A Purple Mystery - This was a mystery quilt I made during a quilting retreat. Each snowball block has a different quilting motif inside. I did freehand swirls around the snowball blocks.
Mountain Shadows
Name of Maker: Shana Clay
Mountain Shadows - This is the second Mountain Shadows quilt I made. I used the Delectible Mountain block around the border of the quilt. This quilt went to my sister (I give most of my quilts away to friends and family). Hey, shhhh...it's a secret between you & me, so don't tell anybody, OK? Now I have more excuses and more reasons to buy more fabric and to sew more quilts, right?? Yeah, right....
Garden Glories
Name of Maker: Judy Zaspel

Sampler Quilt
Name of Maker: Bobbie Spann
Sampler Quilt - My first big quilt. It was started in March of 2005 and finished in Dec. 2006. Lots of mistakes, but shows my progression as a quilter.
Singing Snowmen
Name of Maker: Linda
Singing Snowmen - I love snowmen. This pair hang on our front door to welcome everyone in! The snowflakes across the top are machine embroidered. I also made the gold star hanger to hang it on.
Carpenter Star
Name of Maker: Patricia Droste
Carpenter Star - I started with eight fat quarters and background fabric to piece the center and scrappy border for this quilt. Then I added two additional borders to make a queen size quilt. You make this quilt without cutting any diamonds or working with bias edges. These quilts are all pieced with half square triangle units. It looks harder than it is.
