Wine Country Picnic - Imagining a picnic in our local valley with wineries and summer balloons floating overhead, as well as a view of Mt. Ranier which looks beautiful on clear summer days.
Everday Flowers - This wall quilt is fused, machine quilted and will be embellished. I am still working on this. I sent some flowers to my mom once and she told me to give her something that will last. So instead of sending her real flowers, which I like to do, I decided to send her flowers that will last!
Swirl Land - This quilt is fused and machine quilted. It was made for my grand-daughter who named it because she saw the swirls in the outer blocks and thats what she calls this quilt!
Old Dirt Manor - My husband drew the owl after we bought our property, called Old Dirt Manor. We had it cut in iron and it hangs on our front gate and on our house. I thought it would be fun to hang one in the house too.
Girls of Summer - After I bought the Loralie panel I realized that the squares were not all the same size. I used selected ones that were close in size and then added the angled borders to achieve evenly sized blocks. I remembered learning how to do this from a talk that Sharyn Craig gave to our quilt guild several years ago.
Sunflower - Fabrics for sunflower and leaves were handpainted by the quiltmaker in Phil Beaver's class in 2002, and his petal and leaf motifs were used in the quiltmaker's own adaptation. Pieces were raw edged appliqued by machine and quilting in the background mimic the flora of the black on black fabric. My first sunflower was appliqued on a hobo bag finished in 2005.
Prairie Love - This quilt was made in rememberance of my mother, Rosalee. The borders and some of the blocks contain the state flower fabric for North Dakota, the prairie rose. She was born in 1909 on the North Dakota prairie. She was my Prairie Rose and of course I loved her lots.
Mama & Baby Dolphins - Hawaiian John Serrao, designed this quilt pattern for my friend Marilyn Parsons...who was wonderful in letting all her friends make the quilt from the design, it is still in the quilt stage.
Fall from the Heart - This quilt was made Thanksgiving weekend 2006 for a friend and his wife and was quilted on my long arm machine with freehand leaves. James had seen a quilit I made with these colors and loved it, so I used the left over pieces to make this quilt for him after he was hospitalized. It is treasured by his wife Jackie now.
Bug City Scape - I made this for my youngest son, who is now 18. He said he wanted a lizard escaping from the jar...then I stuffed him also..you just can't do one...everything that was escaping ended up stuffed or embroidered...to appear realistic
Ohio Brown Paper Bag Sampler - Each one of us in my quilt group at Wright Patterson AFB..bought material...put it in a brown paper bag...then gave it to the first person on the list...we didn't see what was made for us..till our Christmas party
Friendship Garden - These words of inspiration were from an embroidery collection by Martha Pullen. I made smaller quilts for two friends's birthdays. The setting is traditional attic window.

Western Wildflowers - This pattern by Columbine Designs included hand embroidery designs. I used the wildflower machine embroidery designs by OESD. I also added the piano key border to the original pattern.
