Buzzing Bugs at Pooh's Corner - Loved the Pooh fabric and wanted to make a quilt with it.
P.S. I know the picture is bad... I think my husband deleted the others. :(
Georgetown T-Shirt Quilt - The young lady was due to graduate from Georgetown U this May, so her Mom had me make a t-shirt quilt with all her GU shirts.
Bluebonnets & Daffodils - I started this in 2004 and was half done when I picked it up earlier this year, finished it and had it quilted. It's an odd size.. it just kept growing!
QUILTS MADE FOR IRAQ SOLDIERS - THIS QUILT WAS PUT TOGETHER WITH 13 DIFFERENT FABRICS CHOSEN FOR OUR SOLDIERS IN IRAQ. I HAD A CUSTOMER COME STATING HER BROTHER IN IRAQ WANTED A QUILT BECAUSE THEIRS WERE VERY OLD AND THEY HAD TO SHARE MOST OF THE TIME. SO I DECIDED TO MAKE IT A MISSION AND BEGIN TO GET FELLOW QUILTERS TOGETHER TO MAKE QUILTS FOR THE SOLDIERS. I AM TRYING TO FIND THOSE THAT NEED THEM BUT WILL SEND SO HOPEFULLY ANYONE WHO NEEDS THEM WILL GET ONE. I AM HOPING THE SHOP WILL BE ABLE TO SEND AT LEAST 50 QUILTS SO AM REALLY PUSHING THIS PROJECT. JUST STARTED LAST WEEK AND ALREADY HAVE FOUR SO MAYBE I WILL MEET MY GOALS!!!!
VISIONS - THIS QUILT WAS INSPIRED BY THE PANEL IN THE VISIONS COLLECTION BY MODA. I USED THE DIFFERENT PICTURES ON THE PANEL AND COMPLIMENTARY FABRICS TO COME UP WITH THE DESIGN. I THEN BIG STITCH QUILTED IT. IT TURNED OUT REALLY GREAT AND I WROTE IT UP AND ACTUALLY SOLD IT AS A KIT AT THE SHOP!!
QUILT SHOP QUILT - I MADE THIS QUILT FOR THE SHOP WITH THE SHOP NAME EMBROIDERED ON THE ROOF TOP.I SAW A QUILT PATTERN SIMILAR AND USED IT AS A MODEL BUT HAD TO DO QUITE OF BIT OF ADAPTING. I USED ATTIC WINDOWS TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOU WERE LOOKING INTO A SEWING "HOUSE" OR SHOP. WE LOVE THIS QUILT AND HANG IT OUTSIDE THE SHOP HOWEVER IT IS STARTING TO REALLY FADE SO I AM GOING TO HAVE TO COME UP WITH ANOTHER.
February Journal Quilt 2004 - Made for the 2004 Journal Quilt project on quiltart.com list. Chosen for publication in book Creative Quilting: The Journal Quilt Project. edited by Karey Patterson Bresenhan published in 2006. Background was dyed with shaving cream dyeing.
Takumi's Dragon - This quilt was made from a drawing of a dinosaur made by my nephew, Takumi, at 3 1/2 years old, that I adapted into a dragon. The flames I made from silk fusion, the dragons body is painted and heated tyvek.
Bird Lady - Made by Pamela Allen during the grabbag challenge through quiltart.com in 2006. Made with a bag of materials sent by Liz Tarr, with additional items added by Pamela Allen. Pamela Allen's website is http://pamelart2.homestead.com/quiltythings.html.
Wild Garden - Quilt I made for the quiltart.com grabbag 2006 challenge. I received a bag of items from another person with fabrics I got reminded me of animals so I made a quilt with plants, flowers that had animal names.
My Wild Irises - First attempt at stained glass technique. Design created in response to an "ugly fabric" challenge in our guild and was inspired by watercolor painting done by my mother. (See photo of painting in the personal photos section of my profile.)
Fantasy Moon - Appliqued from the back of the main fabric as an experiment. Quilted with Ricky Doodles! The coloured fabric (not the background) was mainly my own hand dyed fabric. I used an embroidery stitch on the machine to hide the joinings between the fabrics. The design was an idea from a picture which I found on the Internet, maybe a painting or a quilt, I do not know as it is so long ago.
