Dragons and Flames for Luke
Name of Maker: Alice Gibson
Dragons and Flames for Luke - Quilt Journal – Luke’s Quilt – June 15th, 2007 Today, I finished putting the binding on grandson Luke’s quilt. He likes dragons and fantasy, so it took a while to collect this fabric – mostly from Wal-Mart. The top is done in a Log Cabin pattern, my first, and I used the “Quilt in a Day” book by Eleanor Burns. It was a joy to follow her directions. I sewed it in our motorhome during the winter of 2006-2007. The backing is solid black with a label – To Luke from Mema. I had Linda Denner from Warrensburg, NY machine quilt it. She did a nice job- following the “flames” theme and charged me $110. The quilt size is big.. 62”wide by 102” long.
