Dawn's Frogs

Dawn's Frogs - Dawn asked if I could make her a "frog quilt", and this is the result. At first I thought I'd make all the frogs out of the green background fabric, but quickly discovered how much fun it would be to make them all different and unique! I even used leopard fabric for the leopard frog. This quilt was just fun to make from start to finish. Debbie Allen in UT did an amazing job quilting -the quilting design is little frogs on lily pads!

Butterflies - I have a full size quilt that I inherited that appears to have been made in the 1930's but is unlabeled. I loved the quilt as a child but it is slowly falling apart. I decided to make a template from the appliqued butterfly and then created this tiny reproduction.

Hark! - Inspired by the gorgeous navy-and-gold metallic angel fabric, this quilt is nine fussy-cut angel blocks, which were then stuffed and trapunto'd. I made this for Deb for Christmas and it hangs in her house at Christmastime. The coordinating fabrics were all collected within the year after I found the inspiration fabric. Deb's always had a thing for angels.

Apples - Block Rag Quilt made of all apple materials and compliminiting materials. Made some triangles just because I wanted some spunk put in it. Given to my cousin for a friend,,, only knew to make an apple quilt. Lady did not use it on bed but hung it on the wall .

Girl Scout Thanks - This mini quilt made to thank a mother in our Girl Scout troop for her hard work the past two years with cookie sales and working the scout store. Each of the girls drew a design onto a piece of white fabric and they were sewn together to create a wonderful momento for her.

Corey's Log Cabin - This quilt was made in a quilt class in Davie Fl . It is a king size quilt w/ many different fabrics in it . This quilt was almost all made by hand. All but the top stich of the sashing pieces. Quilted each block entirley before attaching it all together. Would have never completed this if it was not made with love for my grandson !
