Boldly Go! - My sister and I made this quilt together to hang over the mantle in her living room. Playing with the One Block Wonder format is so much fun!!

The Going Batty Quilting 101 Quilt - My first true quilt! It seems huge! I attended a beginner's quilting class in a local quilt shop for about 6 weeks back in 2005. When the class was over, I put the unfinished quilt in a bag, intending never to look at it again. A different local quilt shop started a UFO Sundays group. So I finally finished it. Even did some swirly looping free-motion quilting. I'm pleased!

Calm before the storm - After taking Painted Landscapes with Michele Scott from Quilt University, I completed this quilt from a picture I had taken at a lake we live near. I then entered it in the QU Virtual quilt show to which it won an honorable mention. The painted fabric is machine quilted with various colored threads. Border fabric was also painted by myself.

Geisha Reflection - This beautiful fabric by Michael Miller Fabrics is very spectacular when used with my Reflection pattern. The technique looks difficult but it is just strip cutting and piecing.

Dragonflies - My daughter, Sara, named this one for me. She was right. It is a delight and very, very fast and easy to make.

Florentine Fantasy II - The Florentine 2 fabric line by Peggy Toole for Robert Kaufman was the inspiration for this Florentine Fantasy II pattern. Its nice to know that the beautiful original Florentine fabric has a spectacular successor.

Swim Up a Storm - Made as a raffle quilt for a synchronized swimming team. The center panel features silhouettes of swimmers done in trapunto mock bobbin work with Razzle Dazzle. Fun quilt but alot of work. 100% cotton. Cotton and poly thread. It now belongs to a synchro swimmer in IL who is going to Nationals!

Crazy Hearts - I made little crazy patches and cut them into hearts shape and appliqued them to the background. It is a birthday gift to Anoushka Lobo.

Everlong - I was inspired by the flanel fabric in the borders and the backing. So I deciced to make a log cabin style block. It is a Christmas gift to my dear daughter Nivea. But I completed it in 2007 after christmas.

"Kaleido-Poppies" - I am always buying very large focus fabrics which steer me toward my love of kaleidoscopes. This is a hexagon kaleidoscope made from very large poppy print that was fun and easy to make. All flowers were outline quilted in invisible thread. I loved it so much, I bought the identical fabric in pink! Of course!

Afternoon Tea at the Pumpkin Patch - Block of the month at The Pumpkin Patch. Used a lot of Moda's Seneca Falls range and a tea dyed background print for an antique look.

forever - this is a lap quilt the second quilt I have made very pleased with the results as i am just starting out on this craft

Unbridled Passion - One of my "circus" series of quilts. My inspiration was the great Toulouse Lautrec - He loved the circus imagery also.

Maidens in Full Bloom - One quilt in my "Native American" series. Cactus are completely machine embroidered. I use the Native American as my subject quite often. The imagery of the Hopi maidens "squashblossem" hairdo is my favorite.

Ringmasters - One in the "Circus" series. Leopards were drawn on an orange print batik and the spots were hand-painted. The cats were then cut out and hand appliqued to background. There is alot going on in this quilt for the patient viewer.

Vanishing Warblers - Faces of geisha and monkey are hand-painted. Sleeve and monkey are machine embroidered. This image was well researched to ensure accuracy in all details of the design.
