Cool as The Cat's Pajamas
Name of Maker: Jeannette Larson
Cool as The Cat's Pajamas - This was an "Ugly Duckling" Guild Challenge using the 4 fabrics in the cat's body. The western fabric made me think of my brother's PJs from the 50s, thus the name of the quilt.
Do You Know Who Really Likes Purple?
Name of Maker: Roberta Levin
Do You Know Who Really Likes Purple? - Pieced entirely of 60 degree triangles, this wall quilt made itself. I had a different setting in mind, but when I put it on the design wall, it just didn't look right, and, like magic, the pieces were rearranged.
Beaded Paridise

Crazy quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy M. Roelfsema
Crazy quilt - The design is origianl but the embellishments come from my collection of 25 or more crazy quilt books.
Blue Vase of Sunflowers
Name of Maker: Sewbug
Blue Vase of Sunflowers - This was made in a quilt workshop using the Snippet technique. I was the only one to cut my snippets with pinking shears and I like the look it gave. I machined quilted it.
There's a Bug in My Flower Jars
Name of Maker: Leslie Sorenson
There's a Bug in My Flower Jars - Instead of putting Bugs in bottle, I used flower fabrics. Then I added machine quilted bugs and applique bugs here and there just for fun. I made the border using Thangles. This was one of those quilts that I worked on off and on so all together it took me three years to finish.
Name of Maker: Katherine Anderson
"Spaced Out" - I made the small beige blocks (5 3/4") and then decided to float them in the quilt. So each large 12 inch block has a beige block floating somewhere in it. I did this to create floating images. I made this for a prayer quilt for a man that has not be given out yet. It will have some prayer ties once it is determined who will receive it.
Sunflowers and Asters
Name of Maker: Elsie
Sunflowers and Asters - I wanted my quilt to look like a painting so didn't use the dark background typical of others in Phil Beaver's lively class. I did the sunflowers first, then realized it needed something more so added the blue asters, then heavily quilted it. I really enjoy this "painting" that now hangs in my home.
The Garden Club
Name of Maker: Kelley Cunningham Valade
The Garden Club - There are actually two quilts, each containing the handprint of my daughter and her preschool classmates. These were made as end-of-year presents for her teachers. They took WAY longer than I anticipated. Her class was called "The Garden Club" and so the handprints are all meant to be flowers in a garden. I started out with an idea based on a book by Marcia Layton, but then I saw the Simply Quilts episode with Lynette Jensen of Thimbleberries making a tablerunner with a picket fence, and thought that would look cute too.
Winding Ways Variation 2
Name of Maker: NikiB
Winding Ways Variation 2 - This quilt was designed on a computer program.I simply straightened the lines on the "winding ways" blocks so it could be machine pieced.Even when the pieces are not curved the illusion of curved pieces is still there.
Moms
Name of Maker: okiegirl97
Moms - It's bright and cheery and covered with strawberries! As soon as I finished the first block, I knew it would be perfect gift for Mother's Day.
Marie's Bento Box
Name of Maker: Nancy Harris
Marie's Bento Box - Every year, we have a Women's Weekend with six to eight women who attended school together (some from kindergarden through senior year). A few years ago, I started making a quilt for the person who hosted the and planned the weekend. In 2006, Marie was our gracious host and asked for a Fourth of July quilt. I love the Bento Box, for many reasons, including ease of making, so that is what I selected for her. She loves it!
Turtle Dance
Name of Maker: robbie
Turtle Dance - My first attempt with curves and an original quilt design. Used rhinestones, embroidered turtles and eyelash yarn for embellishment.
Cat Tapestry

Cat Tapestry - Appliqued Kitties -- stretched over canvas
Impressions
Name of Maker: gladquilter
Impressions - These are hand painted fabrics using Kona cotton. Some have relief impressions from ferns or leaves. Some have stamped images. This project was designed as a learning experience. My sister has always had a positive impression on me, so this was gifted to her.
Meredith's Graduation Quilt
Name of Maker: Chelley Smith
Meredith's Graduation Quilt - This quilt was made during an International Mystery Tour at Quilter's Quarters in Stockton, CA. It's made completely of beautiful batik fabrics. This is a gift for Meredith Black to celebrate her graduation from Dickson County High School.
Bear Country
Name of Maker: Mandy Weaver
Bear Country - I made this wall hanging from an old vest. I fussy cut the bear prints and used coordinating material to complete the design. I machine quilted in the ditch and hand quilted around the bear prints. Then added buttons.
