Turbulence
Name of Maker: prcfiberarts
Turbulence - This quilt is intended to show the turbulence that can be either in ones personal life or in nature. There are times when creating is planned and methodical and other times you just fly by the seat of your pants.
It's The Journey
Name of Maker: prcfiberarts
It's The Journey - I am inspired by history and the romance of travel during a time when getting to a destination was only the end of the journey. I wanted this quilt to speak to the adventure of travel. Arriving at point B is not the event we remember, it is the journey.
Twisted Memories
Name of Maker: LaineyBug Quilts
Twisted Memories - This quilt was made of scraps, including many pieces of fabric that were leftover from the clothes I made for my daughters when they were little.
Sky Horse
Name of Maker: Betty Jo Tatum
Sky Horse - Inspired by NASA online photos of The Horsehead Nebula. Painted the rays of color surrounding the gas clouds and stars that make up the Horsehead Nebula and the gas cloud is a large Angelina Fibers applique that I covered with black veiling and quilted down. Then I free motion bobbin thread embroidered the horse's head configuration (see detail in my pictures).
Canterbury Silk
Name of Maker: Betty Jo Tatum
Canterbury Silk - Representation of illuminated manuscript of Chaucer’s Prologue to The Canterbury Tales. Border inspired by 12th century illuminated manuscript.
The Storyteller
Name of Maker: Betty Jo Tatum
The Storyteller - Based on the look of antique Japanese screens. The storyteller sits beneath the machine embroidered/appliqued tree on a volcanic island. The phoenix/dragon conflict in front of the sun is the story she is telling, but she begins her story with the word "Betty" in Japanese alphabet.

One Love Bob Marley - Made for my grand daughter who loves Bob Marley
Tumbling Blocks
Name of Maker: Lori Suchomel
Tumbling Blocks
Name of Maker: Karlyn Bue Lohrenz
"It All Comes Around" - I kept my hands and heart busy (tears of happiness, loneliness, and worry) as I watched my 17-year old granddaughter apply for, interview for, and accept a full ride scholarship to study abroad. We, as a family , went through many emotions and I finished this quilt the day she was greeted by her host family in Germany.
That's What Friends are For
Name of Maker: Charlene King and Arlene Hollingshead
That's What Friends are For - Charlene made her first quilt and sewed all the blocks to each other. She hated the quilt when it was done and gave the top to Arlene for her garage sale. Arlene took them apart and I designed the setting. I quilted it and we surprised Charlene with a new quilt! Here's Charlene's reaction when Arlene displayed her "show and tell": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFQHTfbtwJg&list=UU7cbe1IIEHPk_n2yngCOobg

Butterfly Quilt by Alex Anderson
Name of Maker: Linda Martindale
Butterfly Quilt by Alex Anderson - I made the butterflies using the Bernina Cutwork software, and digitized the butterflies, cutout the appliques with the Cutwork tool, and then appliqued them with the Bernina embroidery software. I chose to do this instead of the traditional hand applique method that Alex used. This is a picture of the top before it is quilted.
