Yoko's Mystery - This quilt took a year to complete the blocks and they a further year to put the block together and quilt it. Quilted and hanging in my granddaughters room for when she visits.

Running Bunnies - The Bee's challenge was to make a quilt primarily using plaids. I had the border plaid which screamed "Spring!" So I made an Easter quilt. I tacked on the wooden carrots with silk ribbon "tops."

Mike's Valor - This quilt of Valor was given to my son-in-law, Mike, as he retired from the Navy after a 20-year career.

Directions - Took a class on all the different techniques to make flying geese in 1999. Finally settled on a single technique and finished it!
Asian Windows
Name of Maker: Marilyn Zeider McWilliams
Asian Windows - Asian Windows is comprised of an all cotton fabric panel, that has been cut into "panes" and then placed into the Attic Windows pattern and bordered by complimentary fabrics. The backing is a rust tone-on-tone 100% cotton fabric and the batting is Hobb's 80/20. Quilted using Aurifil varigated cotton thread, #4150 in 50wt, the windows were quilted in a tapestry style, while the frames and borders were quilted in free-motion home machine style. The free-motion consists of shells, diagonal waves, and ginko leaves surrounded by small stippling.

Koshare Indian Dancer - This quilt was made by 9 friends who met through thequiltshow.com! Cindy Neville, Carol Moellers, Dana Lynch, Mary Kay Runyan, Mary Holman, Hanne-Grete Brink, Karen Fitzpatrick, Bridget Lilja and Wanda Myers. The quilt was made from an original photo taken by a dear friend of the group.

Jelly Roll Quilt - This quilt was made during Girl's Night Out at The Square Quilter. Our project for the night was to bring a jelly roll and have a jelly roll race. I won by just a few minutes! It was a very heated race! We had a great time!

From The Garden 2 - I used my photos and manipulated them in PhotoShop Elements then printed them on fabric sheets. The center flower really did have the baby toad inside the center of the flower!! Quilted on a domestic Machine.

Pumpkin Patch Throw - I made this awhile back. It is all needle-turn applique and was really a difficult time all around. Although I tried to plan which pumpkin was under another, I kept having to undo so I could tuck something under it. Very frustrating. But it is done and quilted! Probably won't do another!

Fig - I used a photo of Fig taken by Gail Druker Illman of her daughter's cat who passed away. It is thread painted and appliqued onto the background. Free motion quilted using a domestic machine.

Folk Art Nine-Patch - I fell in love with this pattern in one of my quilt magazines. I kept opening it up to that page and staring at it again and again. I finally just ordered the kit. I really can't remember what the name of this pattern was but I sure enjoyed making it. Very fun!
Let Me In

Let Me In - Paddy the cat was taken by his owner Tom Rumble who let me use the photo to thread paint. I had fabric that showed an outdoor scene that resembled the photo. I have many pictures of this beautiful cat and I will probably do more of him.

Crazy Pinwheels - For donation to the neonatal ICU at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth Western Australia. Our local group regularly makes these quilts which must measure 16" x 20" for the humidicribs.
