Chickadees for Dad - This pattern was altered slightly to adapt to the amount of material I had to work with in this fabric design. I added some appliqué taken out of the fabric that I couldn't use in the making of the quilt. It was a Christmas gift for my Dad but I didn't get it completed until a couple of months ago.

House design plots quilted with four sizes of threads; House is appliqued, landscaping is both in-the-hoop embroidery I designed, decorative stitches, and free motion thread work highlighted with inks.

Waiting... - Traditional storm-at-sea block makes up the big wave. Clipper ship has added wool batting behind sails, sky is painted with watered down setacolor inks, woman's hair is thread work on veiling. Her face is digitally painted and printed on fabric, then appliqued.

Whole Cloth - Whole cloth quilt pattern is an original design that I drawed out. It's done in Superiors variegated,glide threads, the medallion flowers are done in fun thread play fill ins. Quilted on my sit down long arm TL.

Changes - This quilt was made for the Riley Blake Fabric Challenge organized by The Modern Quilt Guild. I am an individual online member. We were given 6 Fat Eights. Instructions were to make something "Quilted". Added fabrics could only be solids or Riley Blake Printed Fabric. An appliqued "earth" from the Riley Blake's DeTour line was added. This quilt was designed using EQ7 software making it easy to reshape the blocks for paper piecing. I like the Lorraine Torrence Shifting Perspective style quilts which was the inspiration.

Bluebirds - My granddaughter wanted a blue quilt for her bed. They live in Germany and the beds are a different size than ours in the states, so this was adapted to fit her bed. It is made from a jelly roll with added bird fabric and has a scalloped border.

Newly Discovered Planets - I wanted to make a circle quilt which was not concentric circles. I found a quilt in the January 2003 issue of Quilter's Newsletter which had circles completed of tapering angles. This really appealed to me.

Waiting for Lovers - "Waiting for Lovers" was based on a photo taken in Venice in 2012 while on a camera club photo tour. The quilt is raw edge, fused, machine appliqued and quilted and represents a wonderful memory of a wonderful trip.
