Summer Garden - Blocks made for me for being guild president by members of Prairie Star Quilt Guild, Farimont, MN. (Design sources unknown) Setting my design.
Ode to Nancy Odom - This was a project made in a class taught by Nancy Odom at our annual quilt show. We were given the templates in the class, so I do not know the name of the pattern.
Victorian Gone Plum Decadent - This was started in a class in Bismarck, then the blocks were put together during a sewing day with friends in Tucson, so many memories associated with this quilt. It was also less accurate than I could accept, due to all the gabbing during the assembly of the blocks. I took my mother-in-law's advice to 'NEVER BE AFRAID TO REVERSE SEW', so it was virtually reconstructed after the top was assembled. And it would have been less time and work to make a new quilt from scratch, but what a feeling of satisfaction to see it put right. I'm so glad I did.
Darian's Graduation Quilt - This quilt was made with love for our first grandchild upon high school graduation. I just chose colors she and I both love, and created it as I went along. I did use the AccuQuilt Go cutter, with a roses die and accompanying embroidery designs made to go with the resultant applique shapes.
Moroccan Mandala - This quilt was inspired by the work of RaNae Merrill. The border fabric determined the colour pallette. The centre is made with 751 pieces of fabric.
Sweet Indulgence - I love china and dessert! This was a quilt that had to be. Reworked pattern to be able to use the tea cups and desserts as blocks. I did trapunto work around each cup and dessert. Machine quilted on my domestic machine.
Shelby's Florida Room - This lovely quilt was made for my daughter's bedroom in our Florida home. It was designed by one of the owners of my local NY quilt shop and featured in BHG Quilt Sampler magazine.
