Jan's Fancy
Name of Maker: Jan Mott
Jan's Fancy - This quilt was inspired by Ricky's video in an earlier Quilt Show Episode. I wanted to do a modern variation of a traditional quilt for a guest bedroom. The quilt is made from hand-dyed fabrics that give the quilt a wonderful feeling of texture. I love the bold variation in color. Unfortunately, the picture does not do justice to the striking colors in the quilt.

Touch of Red practice quilt - I watched Sharon Schamber's first video on Tuesday while on vacation and made this quilt and an sister one on black fabric for a quilt show in Yeovil next weekend in 3 days using my Bernina 830. Goddess of the last minute, of course) Thank you Sharon for sharing and TQS for hosting the video series.
Sea of Life
Name of Maker: Sharon
Sea of Life - Inspired by the seahorse bead and memories of our time in Malaysia.
As Times Goes By
Name of Maker: Vicki Crooms
As Times Goes By - I bought this linen piece on Etsy for $5. Although in great structural shape, it was very grimy from being handled all those years ago and never washed. A couple of washings in restoration soap helped immensely. I attended Cindy's "Linen Ladies" workshop at the 2013 Road to California and she was most helpful in getting me started on this piece. My aim was to honor the woman who almost-but-not-quiet finished the amazing embroidery. If I could show it to her I hope she would be happy with the result. Finishing this piece really meant a lot to me. I am just happy it wasn't thrown away, so it could be displayed as it should be.
