quilter51 As Times Goes By - I bought this linen piece on Etsy for $5. Although in great structural shape, it was very grimy from being handled all those years ago and never washed. A couple of washings in restoration soap helped immensely. I attended Cindy's "Linen Ladies" workshop at the 2013 Road to California and she was most helpful in getting me started on this piece. My aim was to honor the woman who almost-but-not-quiet finished the amazing embroidery. If I could show it to her I hope she would be happy with the result. Finishing this piece really meant a lot to me. I am just happy it wasn't thrown away, so it could be displayed as it should be.
