Christmas Morning Stars - Took a Pat Speth class and wow, did I get hooked on nickels!

Olivia's Garden - I liked the design presented on the HGTV website as a block of the month, but it was too homogenous for me and I have a little Granddaughter named Olivia. So, my version is Olivia's Garden. I added baby birds in the bird houses and honeybees and butterflies with my Bernina Embroidery Machine. Then, I thought the quilt needed some drama, so I added a kitten hunting the baby birds and a puppy intimidated by a butterfly on his nose. I added some free-motion wood-graining to the fence at the bottom. Also tweaked the colors -- -- quite a bit, actually. It was fun!

The Quilt of Many Colors - I used the pattern "Rain Forest" designed by Cyndi Hershey feactured in the Fons and Porter July/Aug 2006 issue....I changed the outside borders and used homemade bias tape instead of the zigzag stitching that the author used. This quilt was a wedding present for my niece and new nephew...made and quilted by Bonnie Botts

Kayley's Quilt - Soon-to-be baby gift in my signature bright colors. I adapted Karla Alexander's "Bent Out of Square" because I love the technique and the play of color, and It's perfect for batiks.

Hidden in Plain Site - This quilt pattern was created by me and used as a mystery quilt for my local guild. It was thrilling to see all the different color and fabric combinations after the mystery was finished!

Skeletons From My Closet - Made for a Day of the Dead Challenge. Represents my not nearly dearly departed art quilter friends at a show and tell

Georgia Stars - Arizona Freedom - The basic star patterns were by Marge LaBenne and given out by the Village Quilt Shop in Stone Mountain, Georgia in honor of the 1996 Olympic Games. I made the stars then designed the Twist 'N Turn setting from a book by Sharyn Craig. The quilt was made for the "Freedom" challenge of the Arizona Quilt Guild, Spring 1999.

There and Back Again - After this quilt was displayed at the AQS 2006 show, it was invited to become a part of the "OH WOW!" Miniature Quilt Collection at the AQS Museum. It is 14 x 14"

Fall Majesty - My husband saw this quilt in a quilt store in Vancouver, Washington and fell in love with it and talked me into making one for him. It was my first attempt at applique and it turned out great!

Pinwheels in Formation - Made by request for my son's bed. He is in the Marines and currently stationed in Iraq. I'm storing it for safekeeping until he returns later this year.

Relaxin OnThe Lake

Greeting the Days - I wanted to play with some of the design possibilities using mariner's compass blocks and this is my first attempt. I learned a lot with this project and enjoyed the whole process. I've decided I totally love bright yellow against a very dark purple. :)
