Port in a storm - homeward bound
Name of Maker: fimacmorris
Port in a storm - homeward bound - This quilt was inspired by the fabric by Prestigious and my hometown of Falmouth in Cornwall. The fabric made me think of views over the harbour, and the window idea just evolved. The window sashing is quilted in a nod to celtic knotwork and the window panes are free motion quilted to enhance and amplify the printed fabric.

Fiesta!
Name of Maker: Corina Barker
Fiesta! - I wanted to use the different stitches from my new sewing machine "Excellence" by Elna. The background was my ugliest top, (It supposed to be a convergen quilt) never finished and stacked down on my fabric shelf forseveral years. It was perfect to work my FIESTA! I love it!, the size is 23x32 inches and with several types of thread 30ct and 50ct, cotton, rayon, polyester, metallic, razzle duzzle. The work was done from the top and some stitches were worked from the back using the bobbin. I still need to add bead and crystal on the open areas.

Aanaq'q
Name of Maker: Corina Barker
Aanaq'q - I made "Aanaq'a (Mother in the Yupi'k language) a 3D quilt after moving out of ALaska. This was made with my love for this land since we were living in Bethel for almost 5 years. I learned to bead earing and those flower designs from my eskimo friends.

Wedding Quilt for Paola and Luis - I made this quilt for my daughter's wedding. It was so lovely to sew thinking my quilt was going to be one of my gift to her and her husband. It took me almost a year to complete the work. I did all the cutting, piecing and quilting by myself.
Wedding Quilt for Carlos and Katie

Wedding Quilt for Carlos and Katie - I made this quilt when I was still living in AK. Then my baby brother was getting ready for his wedding with Katie so it was just on time to offer as a wedding gift to them. Bella
Name of Maker: Carol Deards
Bella - A former coworker had the photo I based this quilt on showing her 3 month old puppy coming to their home for the first time. The big eyes really grabbed me, so I was delighted when she gave permission for me to make a quilt from the photo.
Many Memories
Name of Maker: Linda Gittos
Many Memories - This quilt started when printable fabric sheets came out, what better way to remember my family than with a quilt. I printed the pictures I wanted and was then told that because they were not a 'regular' size I would not be able to do the quilt I wanted. Never say never to me!! I set out to figure how I could do this, no pattern in mind at first, but I wanted to make it the colours that "I" liked and this is how it turned out. I made little blocks, nine patch and others, but didn't think it would be too difficult, it took me a while, the quilt wasn't perfect and I could not quilt it myself, Carol Brady came to my rescue and finished a quilt I now treasure and USE. In hindsight I wish that I had made it bigger :o)

Mary Mack Baby Quilt
Name of Maker: Judy Rittmeyer
"Jelly Fish" for Wesley - I used a Timeless Treasure jelly roll that I found and just had to buy because the colors were so wonderful. I also really wanted to get the quilt done and thought having the strips already cut would make things go faster. Well, live and learn. After I eliminated two rows to re-size the quilt I then had to refigure the cutting directions, the piecing was more complicated than I had anticipated and then I added lots of free motion quilting so all in all it was not a fast quilt to make but lots of fun.
Safari

Safari - This quilt was designed for my step-daughter, hidden within the stitches was the names of all her loved ones. My husband Mark helped in the fussey cutting.
