Aanaq'q - I made "Aanaq'a (Mother in the Yupi'k language) a 3D quilt after moving out of ALaska. This was made with my love for this land since we were living in Bethel for almost 5 years. The woman is an Yupi'k Eskimo mother. I did all the leather and bead work following the characteristics typical from this art. I learned to bead earing and those flower designs from my eskimo friends.
