Family Tree - This wall hanging was made as a challenge with my co-workers. Requirements were a Christmas theme and use of the color green. I used tracings of my family member's hands and also a foot of my grandson for the tree trunk. The hands were placed on a pieced background and then machine free hand quilted down. I want a little fraying of the edges to look like pine needles.
Hummingbird Dreams - This was made for my mother who loves hummingbirds as much as I do. I took some artistic license with the flower colors because I like the background fabric so much.
Holiday Glow - I love houses. When I received this calendar as a Christmas 2003 gift, I knew I had to make the quilt shown for December. It has patchwork, applique, and a little stenciling.
Tommy's Quilt - Tommy is my 'nature' guy, so this a tradional log cabin quilt, using greens, with pine cone borders. It was quilted by women from the LDS ward in West Yellowstone MT, our summer home.
Brenda & Lloyds Adventure - Brenda and Lloyd have served as volunteers at the Madison Junction Junior Ranger Station in Yellowstone National Park for 10 years. In their honor, I made this wall hanging for them. They are moving back into a 'bricks and mortar' home after spending 10 years in their 'wheel-estate' motor home.
Alpine Wonder - Utterly fabulous design using specially designed fabric. I made this in a class at the Corner Quilt Shop in Wauseon Ohio. (I put a black binding on it after this pic was taken..... )
Madison Junction Pine - The tree in this quilt is the exact same as the tree that is carved into the facia boards of the historic Madison Trailside Museum at Madison Juntion, Yellowstone National Park, where I work. I traced the boards for the pattern.
Hobo Quilt - Smaller version of quilt I'm working on for younger son. This was raffled off by his model train club for a fund-raiser for the club. I adapted several blocks to make in applique instead of piecing. On the back I wrote the significance of each block.
Mountain Star - Created for retiring Rangers from the Madison Junior Ranger Station in Yellowstone National Park, where I work. The background is a traditional log cabin, the appliques are icons from around the park.
Flower Brights I - I attended Ricky Tims' seminar in Asheville, NC and fell in love with the Cave man style quilts so this is my attempt at making one. It gave me a chance to use some brighter colors than I normally would.

Rick's Bears - Mountains with large tree in forground. Leaves are cut-up pieces of fabric and sewed down. Flowers near base of tree with black bears roaming. 60th Birthday Gift for my brother.
Happy Quilt - I made this quilt during a two day workshop at my local quilt shop. The designer and class teacher was Susan Carr. It was made from a Moda layer cake.
Anniversary Quilt - This was made for my grandparents 55th Anniversary, aslo known as the Emerald Anniversary, so what better way to commerate it than and Irish quilt in various shades of green?
She - Inspired by Proverbs 3:13-19. The creative journey is a life-long adventure. What an incredible year-long journey it has been! I smiled, I cried, I learned more about myself. I'm grateful.
