Celtic Christmas Crossing - Back
Name of Maker: Keith Dommer
Celtic Christmas Crossing - Back - This is the back of Celtic Christmas Crossing - a quilt made with Aunt Lucinda's Double Irish Chain block and original Celtic inspired crosses and ring border. I tried to use up all my metallic thread but didn't quite succeed. =)
Through thr Garden Trellis
Name of Maker: Denise Cargill
Through thr Garden Trellis - I took a seven month class from a local Jenny Haskins Educator and created this quilt. It contains "faux knitting" which creates fabric from assorted yarns, then cut into 12" squares. All the flowers are embrodered then appliqued on as well as decoupage flowers from coordinated fabric. The vines are silk roule and the butterflies and dragonflies are embroidered with metallic thread then appliqued. All fabrics and yarns are from Jenny Haskins.

Curvilinear Energy

Curvilinear Energy - I've been working on a series of predominately one-color quilts and I've been using my quilting sketches for appliqué inspiration. This is my yellow quilt and an attempt at appliquéing feathers. The center flower and first octagon were inspired by one of my grandfather's wood carvings.

FACING Winds Of Change
Name of Maker: Diane Lochala
FACING Winds Of Change - Life’s transitions affect our peace, joy, faith, & health. Diverse winds blow… leaves cling… Such as the strength of Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Wives, & Friends. The black organza causes a transitional effect of the vibrant colors of the underlying fabric according to the amount of light directed onto the quilt. It can be dark, or very vibrant, depending on the angle of the light source.
Catena
Name of Maker: Vicki Welsh
Catena - When dyeing my gradient fabrics I use some strips of other fabric in the process. I call those strips my "waste" fabrics but they have become my favorite fabrics to work with. This quilt was made entirely with those waste fabrics. It's quilted in overlapping spirals using 11 different colors of Superior So Fine! thread. The back is hand dyed grays and black.
Star Stuck
