Squirrel Wallhanging
Name of Maker: LoriM
Squirrel Wallhanging - Got this squirrel panel and decided to make a fall-ish table topper. Then when it was done I decided it looked good on the wall next to the buffet.
Snowman Quilt
Name of Maker: LoriM
Snowman Quilt - wallhanging made from quilt kit purchased at Great American Quilt Factory (was in Denver). I wasn't sure how to actually use the fabrics after I opened it up (not sure what fabrics were for what) so I ended up changing a couple fabrics to suit my taste. My daughter hangs the quilt at christmas. The flying geese border was a huge PAIN to get sized correctly! so I was too fed up to hand-embroider the lettering along the sides so just used a Pigma pen to write "let it snow" over and over. Embelleshed with old-fashion black snaps (for the eyes), orange felt for the noses.
Rainy's Quilt
Name of Maker: LoriM
Rainy's Quilt - designed on Electric Quilt and used colors choosen by Lorraine since it was her quilt - it's a king sized quilt entirely done on my little Bernina. First and only quilt (so far) that was done to sell. Lorraine and her husband loved it, painted their bedroom to match it and it's still holding up well even though they have two huge dogs that lie on the bed!
Jill's Wedding Quilt
Name of Maker: LoriM
Jill's Wedding Quilt - designed on Electric Quilt - made for Jill's 2009 July wedding - the blue squares are from the bridesmaids' dresses (I altered some of the dresses and had leftover satin after the alterations!). The satin squares were attached using fusible web.
Black and White Wedding Ring
Name of Maker: LoriM
Black and White Wedding Ring - My daughter and I were at a quilt show that had a number of traditional quilt patterns made in black and white (it's sort of right before black/white became so popular). She always said she loved the black/white and she likes the double wedding ring pattern. So... after taking a class in Paducah with John Flynn (using his double wedding ring templates), I decided to do this quilt for Tina. His way of demonstrating/explaining the curved piecing really helped me to keep it accurate. The backing is "Dick and Jane" print as that is also one of Tina's favorites from when she was small!
Spring in My Garden
Name of Maker: LoriM
Spring in My Garden - drew design and made daffodil and iris small quilts to remember the beautiful flowers coming up in my backyard in the spring! small quilts with small flowers, fused, and added Pigma pen lines for accent on the irises
Brittany's Baby Quilt
Name of Maker: LoriM
Brittany's Baby Quilt - designed quilt on Electric Quilt, inspired by Amy Butler fabrics - made for a co-worker's daughter who was having a baby girl. I thought the quilt was "flat" but when I hung it on the wall to take a photo, discovered it was kind of "cuppy" along the edge. Oh well - made to be used and loved! The back is some darling pink "sweet dreams" print fabric that I've had in my stash for many years.
Daisys in the Cabin
Name of Maker: Bunny Henningsen
Daisys in the Cabin - I designed this using EQ7 for a class I'm teaching. The shop wanted an easy stitch and flip with a large graphic design in the center. I have had so many wonderful comments about the colors.. my favorites!
Spring Medallion
Name of Maker: Peggy Bernal
Spring Medallion - This was a block of the month quilt from Quaker Town Quilts and was very fun to make. Each month there would be a new challange, and learning curve. I gained so much from making this quilt.
Joseph's Coat
Name of Maker: Mary Valaika
Joseph's Coat - Made from cotton shirts purchased at the Goodwill store, quilted with Baptist's Fan pattern.
Horse Chestnut
Name of Maker: Mary Furber
Horse Chestnut - This horse chestnut tree was on an empty lot in Portsmouth's South End that my husband's family owned. It was cut down to build a house on the lot. I used a couple photos and combined and edited them in Photoshop to create the collage. I printed it on a large piece of cotton lawn, and printed a single tree on silk organza. I like the effect of the background showing through the single tree.
Loving Hearts
Name of Maker: Mary Furber & Carol Poitras
Loving Hearts - This quilt is from the book "Two From One Jelly Roll Quilts." The quilt top was made from Thimbleberries fat quarters instead of a Jelly Roll. Carol Poitras and I made the top at a retreat. We both cut and sewed, and all the blocks went together fine.
Impressions of Vietnam
Name of Maker: Pruey
Impressions of Vietnam - When we visited Vietnam in 2007 I was inspired by the bright colours local artists used. When I returned home I made this naive art style quilt with raw edge appliqued cotton fabric. It is evocative of many scenes we were to see and experience in Vietnam.
Name of Maker: Unknown
"...Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime." - The finished quilt top was a gift to me many years ago and I finally quilted it this year for an auction. I practiced machine quilting on my new mid arm machine. A happy fisherman bought it!

Glacier National Park Quilt
Name of Maker: Carolyn J Mann
Glacier National Park Quilt - This wallhanging incorporates 2 photos that were collaged together. I then added piecing, thread work applique and quilting to bring it all together!
