Jakes Quilt - Biking Marin Headlands
Name of Maker: Peggiew
Jakes Quilt - Biking Marin Headlands - I adapted this wonderful Judy Neimeyer pattern to emphasize the "trails" and "rocky headlands" of Marin County, near San Francisco, CA. Our son-in-law, Jake is an avid cyclist. He doesn't have much time for it now, because he and our daughter Tricia are the parents of three of our grandchildren - Dex, Dasheil and Poppy. Someday Jake will be biking again, this time with three little bikes following!
Cherry Turnover
Name of Maker: Peggiew
Cherry Turnover - JoAnna Figueroa inspired me to make a quilt using her lovely Moda fabrics. This one went together really quickly and would be a great quilt to give away because not too much time is invested in it! (But I like it so much, I will probably keep it!) Russ McClelland of Bear's Quilts in Garden Grove did a great job on the machine quilting. Thanks Russ!

Erica's Graduation Quilt 2011
Name of Maker: Melynda Holtsberry
Erica's Graduation Quilt 2011 - I wanted to use the Mystical Horses designs from Laurel Burch since my granddaughter is a horse person. I saw the uneven rail fence block in a free pattern for I think a "princess quilt". The bright colors reflect the colors in the embroidery with a majority of purple, Erica's favorite color. The corner embroidery design is a capital E using the wreath option in my embroidery software. I stitched in the ditch between blocks with a decorative stitch and used variegated threal for the majority of the quilting. The backing is large unequal pieces of the fabric used in the blocks. The quilt label is a photo of Erica and her horse printed on fabric after adding my message and data with Corel.
Black, White, and Celtic All over
