Melynda Erica's Graduation Quilt 2011 - I wanted to use the Mystical Horses designs from Laurel Burch since my granddaughter is a horse person. I saw the uneven rail fence block in a free pattern for I think a "princess quilt". The bright colors reflect the colors in the embroidery with a majority of purple, Erica's favorite color. The corner embroidery design is a capital E using the wreath option in my embroidery software. I stitched in the ditch between blocks with a decorative stitch and used variegated threal for the majority of the quilting. The backing is large unequal pieces of the fabric used in the blocks. The quilt label is a photo of Erica and her horse printed on fabric after adding my message and data with Corel.
