Wedding Wishes
Name of Maker: Judy Welch
Wedding Wishes - This quilt was designed and presented to my son (oldest) and daughter-in-law. The guests at the wedding signed the quilt rectangles that now go around the outside border in what is hoped looks like a ribbon. The center block is a feathered star block with a butterfly embroidery in the center. The surrounding blocks have quilted butterflies in them, and the large white border has “lots” of quilted feathers and roses. The feathers and roses quilting design was adapted from "The Feathered Rose Collection" by Judy Allen.
Wedding quilt
Name of Maker: Judy Welch
Wedding quilt - This “guest book” wedding quilt was presented to my son (youngest) and daughter-in-law. It is an original design using mostly their colors (red and blue) and their pirate ship/treasure map theme. The guests at the wedding signed the quilt squares that now surround the Mariner’s compass block. Four applique blocks provide reminders of this time of their lives--themselves at the beach, their pirate ship, their Hawaiian honeymoon and their dogs.
Sina's Quilt

Sina's Quilt - Play Quilt featuring the "old" family home which has unfortunately burned down when recipient was still in his teens. Basic idea is a countryside with animals and fun objects for the baby to play with (lots of touchy feely stuff for the little ones) and to later use as a backdrop for general play.

Hot Dog!
Name of Maker: Mary Rapp
Hot Dog! - On the way home from a retreat in the summer of 2011, my sister and I stopped at Millhouse Quilts, and I challenged myself to make a quilt entirely from their sale room, including the pattern book. (I did buy the sashing/border fabric at full price because it was just too perfect!) I gave the pieced top to my husband for Christmas that year, but then it sat on the shelf because I was afraid to quilt something that big! In February of this year, I decided the time had come, and finished it. I chose the colors for Wisconsin sports teams (green and gold for the Packers and red for Wisconsin) figuring we would wrap up in it while watching our big screen. All I could think of when I was working on it was ketchup, mustard and pickle relish, so I named it "Hot Dog!" We love it.
