Making Waves
Name of Maker: Denise A. Buchwalter-Losczyk
Making Waves - I'm posting my quilt again, because it is currently entered in the McCall's Quilt Design Star Contest. It is the second entry, in their list, titled "Making Waves" and it can be viewed here: http://ck.upickem.net/engine/Details.aspx?contestid=17717&pagetype=VOTING&SubmissionID=3904590 You can vote for it if you like, and check out all of the other wonderful entries there, as well. I made this quilt for the Quilt Show "Helping Hands" Challenge. I enjoyed working with the beautiful fabrics hand dyed by the women in Mali. It was a great challenge, the orange fabric also warmed up my cold studio! My quilt was accepted in the 2010 MQX East Show in Providence, Rhode Island and was on display from April 15 - April 17, 2010, in the miniatures category.
