Letters From a Broad
Name of Maker: Janet Stone
Letters From a Broad - I made this quilt for a narrow wall in my house and I loved the way it came out so much that I entered it in the Minnesota Quilt Show in 2008 and it won 1st place and Judges Choice! I have been hooked on quilting for shows ever since.
Alpha Block Celebration
Name of Maker: Janet Stone
Alpha Block Celebration - The name of each block starts with each letter of the alphabet. Each block has at least 26 pieces and the name of the blocks are free motion embroidered around the border. The tabs were added because it wasn't big enough to enter in the category I wanted to enter it in. All the quilting is straight line quilting, because at the time, I wasn't very good at free motion.
Love Letters
Name of Maker: Janet Stone
Love Letters - This was my 3rd show quilt and the 1st one I free motion quilted....and not that well. The design was inspired by some antique valentines I had. Of course I had to work in an alphabet! I've thought about re-quilting this quilt, but have decided it is just a piece of the journey and it represents the skill I had at the time.

52 Star Pick-Up - This was the very 1st quilt I designed. It was made specifically for our king sized bed. I put my new sewing machine through it's paces sewing and quilting it! I figured if I could quilt this on a sewing machine, I could quilt anything!

My Lineman
Name of Maker: Maggie Strahan
My Lineman - I had a picture of a lineman at home. I used an overhead projector to trace an outline of the picture. Then, I used the overhead to blow the image up to fit on a piece of poster board. I used fusible web and blanket stitched the outline of the design. I put a black border, to frame out the design to make it more prominent. It was all stitch in the ditch. I did not add extra machine stitching because I thought the image was enough of a design.

Time Span Treasures
Name of Maker: Shirley S
Time Span Treasures - This was made is response to a guild challenge. The fabrics in the challenge represented various eras. The women of our family--our heritage and legacy of strength and love. Truly treasures to span all time.
Treasure Boxes
Name of Maker: Shirley S
Treasure Boxes - I made this small quilt using the English Paper Piecing technique. It is *almost* a charm quilt, but one fabric was sneaky! I cut the templates with the accucut machine. I took a few pieces in a baggie in my purse as a portable project.
Road to Oklahoma
