Jackson's I Spy - I made this quilt for our first grandchild, Jackson. The backing is red minkee. It was a lot of fun collecting all of the novelty fabrics.

Twinkling Christmas Stars - This piece was made as a Christmas wallhanging. I just pulled it out of my UFO stash and wanted to finish it.

Lucy's Quillow - This is a quillow made for a friend's new granddaughter. The top is based on a design found in a book "Quick Qults from your Scrap Bag". I hope this quilt will wrap Lucy in love and warmth for many years to come.

Study in Black and White - I was playing around with my Electric Quilt program and came up with this layout for the Storm at Sea blocks. I was trying for an optical illusion effect, and I think it worked great.

Angela's Butterflies - Triple Irish Chain alternating with plain blocks appliqued with pre-printed butterflies

Amber's Garden of Love Quilt - I made this quilt for my granddaughter, Amber. It is raw-edge machine applique. I did change the colors in the original pattern to pinks, greens and blacks to match Amber's room. The backing is lime green Minkee and I did the machine quilting.

Wonderful 1-fabric quilt - The premise of the technique is rather like a Stack-n-Whack but with squares, rather than triangles. Using a fabric with lengthwise stripes, you cut the stripes in squares, based on the width of the stripe repeat. The squares are then cut twice diagonally and the resultant triangles are recombined into the Wonderful 1-Fabric Quilt. Amanda's Fish - Multicolored fish swimming with diagonally pieced borders.

California Natives - Created for the annual Cragmont Quilt Raffle. Original designs by Suzanne Mar, Susan Wittstock, and Carrie Dovzak, with inspiration from the Sierra Club emblem. Mostly batiks, though some cottons are in a few places in the applique. Machine stitched, machine quilted.

Endangered Species - 5th grade students at Cragmont elementary school did reports on endangered species. The quilters for the annual raffle quilt were intrigued by this assignment and decided to base the quilt design for this year on the animals studied by the children. A list of the endangered species reported upon was garnered, research was done to figure out what these animals looked like, or what their specific feature was, and designs were drawn by a team of quilters. From my several year old memory, I can recall that blocks were designed by Suzanne Marr, Carrie Dovzak, Susan Wittstock, Eric Wendt, and.. and... the sea turtle was by Ruth Ehrenkrantz. Sorry if I left anyone out.

Joe's Dream - Another Cragmont raffle quilt. This year we had new sewers, so we had to choose a pattern that was easy to sew, but would look visually stunning. No way to mess this quilt up! Stack 4 pieces of fabric, slash cut and then mix up the colors to make 4 squares. Black strips were added periodically to add pizzaz.

Shawney's spot - I had fabrics that reminded me of this good friend, so I believed they needed to be sewn into a quilt for him
