Design Source - Description | 5th grade students at Cragmont elementary school did reports on endangered species. The quilters for the annual raffle quilt were intrigued by this assignment and decided to base the quilt design for this year on the animals studied by the children. A list of the endangered species reported upon was garnered, research was done to figure out what these animals looked like, or what their specific feature was, and designs were drawn by a team of quilters. From my several year old memory, I can recall that blocks were designed by Suzanne Marr, Carrie Dovzak, Susan Wittstock, Eric Wendt, and.. and... the sea turtle was by Ruth Ehrenkrantz. Sorry if I left anyone out. |
