Revolution Evolution - This was a beginning quilt project that was taught by my beloved mentor Brenda.

Taylors Christmas Quilt - I had clipped a photo of a quilt in a magazine of a very similar pattern & color. I'm normally a traditional quilt maker but this one appealed to me & hoped in the future I would have a need to make something similar. Well, this fall my stepgrandaughter requested a new quilt. She's 11yrs old & likes the color blue. She is also quite the baseball player. This pattern instantly came to mind. The original inspiration showed circles appliqued on all the blocks. But I'm currently having issues w/carpal tunnel syndrome & decided to modify it to just a few appliqued circles. Hopefully she'll enjoy her new quilt.

Future Baby - I purchased a collection of shabby chic fabrics, hoping to a a throw quilt for my victorian cottage living room. The quilt turned out beautiful, but looks more like a baby quilt. So, I guess I'm prepared for either my niece or stepgrandchildren to start having babies!

Christmas Star - Christmas Feathered Star quilt for masterbedroom.

Christmas cards - I took the idea for quilted postcards and made Christmas cards for my quilting friends.

From Emi's hands - This was my rendition of a picture my son drew and asked me to make it into a quilt. He allowed me to change the leaves because he wanted to make a tulip and to add a border with trapunto. The picture that inspired the quilt is on my personal pictures page.

Desafinando - sewed the patchwork of my life every day. One day a story will come out. Desafinando born to tell a story. It was created to talk about Tropicalia. It shows the musical movement and color of movimento.Ele shows the freedom and the game of discipline and censorship in our country in those years of lead. Irreverrência, metaphors, fears and courage. Desafina Desafinado Tom Jobim, Bossa Nova Desafinado. It won the competition in Rio de Janeiro. The National Festival of Patchwork Quilt and Lawn, 2008, the biggest in the country, received a trial of a American Master, the second best innovation.The 2009 was competing in the Festival of Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, and won the best Quilt. Patchwork is the art of quilt together, are of life, whether of art. Patchwork is the art of bringing people together. Get your retail. Get your life. Whether in cloth, is on paper. Build your story. So desafinando, life touches us all.

My Star - This wall hanging is an adaptation of a pattern I found while surfing free quilt patterns on the Internet several years ago. Unfortunately, I have lost the specific information related to it. The star is sewn using a template to cut the specific pieces, and then pieced together in sections. I was so pleased with the results that when I took it to a long arm quilter, she enhanced it with some special quilting techniques. This piece hangs in seasonal display in our home.

Dreams Debris I, II & III - Dreams Debris represents our dreams, those that materialise and bear fruit while others are never realised. Some take form, others wash up in empty places.

Guatemalan Quilt - An applique block serves as the centerpiece with various blocks and strip piecing surrounding it to build a beautiful quilt.

Opulent Ornaments - Paula showed us how to make beautiful ornaments with her kaleidoscopic fabric that are fun to make and more fun to embellish! They turn out gorgeous!

Autumn Pumpkinheads - This is hand painted with fused applique, thread painted details on a quilted background.

Summer Storm Out to Sea - Graded tonal quilt using batik fabric. The colours reminded my husband of a thunderstorm on the horizon with the sea to the bottom.

Chrysanthemum - A kit I purchased, my first, in blacks with oranges and yellows maily to put on the frame with the mid arm and practise! It's hanging in the main hall awaiting binding in the photo.

New Worlds Kalidescope - As a new widow, all things in my world have spun me around in a new direction - each direction a kalidescope of my previous life.
