Sunset at the Lake
Name of Maker: quiltin33gal
Sunset at the Lake - My challenge for this quilt was to completely make the sky up using only dryer lint! I built the canoe out of 3 different fabrics.
The Cabin
Name of Maker: quiltin33gal
The Cabin - This was a gift. The cabin is one that we used to live in. I used many different fabrics to create it including a sheer fabric for the icicles. The background trees are from the Siberian Tiger line. The bear was added from the Road to California print because Luke saw one walk by the back porch when he was sitting there one evening.
Up Close and Personal - Zebra
Name of Maker: quiltin33gal
Up Close and Personal - Zebra - I took a photo of a zebra and cropped it, created a design and blew it up. This is a very dramatic piece. I have patterns available for sale.
The Sentinal
Name of Maker: quiltin33gal
The Sentinal - My challenge was to create a realistic fire using fabrics. Lots of thread painting. This includes my first limited use of dryer lint...(the details in the moon)
Patience
Name of Maker: quiltin33gal
Patience - This is my first quilt. I had the background done but the family said it was missing something so we brainstormed and decided on the heron. He is built from different batiks on a white background and thread painted details added when I attached him. I had to add his potential dinner in the bottom right corner!

Partridge in a pear tree
Name of Maker: crazyladyw8
Partridge in a pear tree - I seen this wall hanging in the magazine and knew I had to make it for my dining room. I did not have the exact fabrics used so I just used what I did have . I collect blue willow dishes so I had to have my tree in a blue jar. I changed to borders to diamonds and used Christmas prints. I used a green " crumb catcher" to give it depth, between the borders.
Cone Flowers

Cone Flowers - One of Melinda Bula's patterns. Cone Flowers came out LOVELY if I have to say so myself. It is a beautiful quilted wall hanging and one I am proud to display in my home.

The Road to Fabulous
Name of Maker: Sharon Wiley Hightower

Esplanade
Name of Maker: Ellen Sherman
Esplanade - I took a technique class, using the wedge ruler, from my local quilt shop. In the class I learned to create wedges and turn them in any direction I wanted. After trying many twists and turns, i came upon the one I liked best. It reminded me of a path through a park that I had walked as a child. My mother called that path "The Esplanade" , therefore the name. It was displayed at our guild's exhibit in Homestead and was one of the quilts shown on the flyer to advertise the exhibit. It hangs on the wall in my livingroom. I am very proud of the machine quilting on it as I did it on my home sewing machine.

Crystal - After purchasing an Accu-quilt go cutter I used the stems and flowers to embellish my Moda charm squares set on point.
