If You Can't Grow Them
Name of Maker: Joanne Wilcox
If You Can't Grow Them - For the straight strips in this quilt, I used a beautiful hydrangea flower fabric. For the last few years we have had such trouble with our hydrangea plant which wouldn't flower, therefore the name.
Fall Day
Name of Maker: Joanne Wilcox
Fall Day - I was just playing with this small piece, I had painted the background fabric with Shiva oil sticks and it looked likes leaves in the wind, so the fall tree had to be planted. Just For fun!!

May Favorite Things
Name of Maker: Peggie Wormington
May Favorite Things - Strawberries and Alice, our 14 year old border collie are two of my favorite things. I loved the wonky look of the skewed design. Used a border collie print and a strawberry print interspersed with other blacks, whites and red prints to carry out Lynn's design.

Linked chains
Name of Maker: Adri
Linked chains - This was my very first quilt. Most details of names I cant remember, but I do remember that it came from a magazine in South Africa. I added the embroidery to the blank blocks. Embroidery is from Pulse Digitising software.
Sunflower
Name of Maker: Jacquelyn Morris-Smith
Sunflower - Took a class that taught Melinda Bula's method. I loved how the sunflower turned out. I think the scalloped border really finishes off the piece. A friend saw it and loved it, so it is now hanging in the entry of her home. I plan to make one for me now.
Aspen Series #1
Name of Maker: Ellen Smith
Aspen Series #1 - Aspen trees are one of the symbols of Colorado. My intention is to make a series of aspen quilts. This one is the first and represents the beginning of the change from summer to fall.
Caitlyn learns to sew
Name of Maker: Caitlyn Cassille assisted by gramma Jackie
Caitlyn learns to sew - Caitlyn came to AZ for a week before school started. She wanted to learn to sew. We went to the local quilt store and she chose the beautiful puple, blue and white fabrics. Then the process began. We washed the fabrics, ironed them and learned to work with the rotarty cutter ( lots of oops- but we managed). Sewing 1/4" seams -some not so 1/4, but mostly they were. Caitlyn made great strides after 'getting the hang of it' and when I came home from work one day, she had already finished 2 complete rows and had them hanging on the design wall. We completely finished the quilt at the very last minute before she walked out the door to go home. I had a great time helping her and seeing her joy with the completed project.
Log cabin Miniquilt
Name of Maker: Adri
Log cabin Miniquilt - It is one of the set of 3 wall quilts. I love log cabin, so I just had to try it out.
A cats perspective
Name of Maker: Adri
A cats perspective - I love cats, so I made this one as a tribute to them. I sent this one in to the Darling Harbour Quilt show this year. I used EQ 6 to design it and Pulse embroidery software for the digitising.
Firestorm
Name of Maker: CASinnreich
Firestorm - The reoccurring global fires inspired this work. The challenge was to translate with fabric the power, the heat, and total devastation of a forest fire. Frantic animals flee the fiery forces. Deer and other animals are known to seek refuge in a lake or river.
Bonsai
Name of Maker: JoAnn Camp
Bonsai - I visited the bonsai garden at the NC Arboretum while at the 2008 Asheville Quilt Show. I love bonsai trees and feel that each is truly a work of art. I made lots of photos because I knew this would be a wonderful subject for an art quilt. The hardest part was deciding which tree to do, so this may become the first in a series. The background fabric was a great find--and it was in my stash! I love it when that happens.
Name of Maker: Jane Karhu Powers
"Fall Gobblers" - After my brother in law decided to put his "Wild Turkey" quilt I made him in the auction at the NWTF Banquet, I told him I would make him a new one. This is how "Fall Gobblers" was born.
Lullabye Dinosaur
Name of Maker: CAGirlQuilter
Lullabye Dinosaur - This is a baby quilt made from 8 fat quarters. Made it in one afternoon, easiest quilt I've made in a very long time.

For the Love of Mom - This quilt was made for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. Every stitch was made with love for an incredible woman who has given so much love to others.
