joannquilts Bonsai - I visited the bonsai garden at the NC Arboretum while at the 2008 Asheville Quilt Show. I love bonsai trees and feel that each is truly a work of art. I made lots of photos because I knew this would be a wonderful subject for an art quilt. The hardest part was deciding which tree to do, so this may become the first in a series. The background fabric was a great find--and it was in my stash! I love it when that happens.
