Marin Retreat
Name of Maker: JanetG
Marin Retreat - I made this as a mystery quilt at our guild retreat at the Marin Headlands in September 2008. I'd had the turtle batik for about 3 years and it worked perfectly in this quilt. This will be the quilt that I take to quilting retreats.

Del's Christmas Spirit
Name of Maker: Nancy Branch from Phillipssville Ca
Del's Christmas Spirit - I made this quilt to raise money for a friend with cancer. It was raffled off during a fnd raising dinner at the Mateel Counity Center in Redway, Ca. I took a class from Beth Ferrer and learned to make Picky and Spike and Flying Geese quilt Blocks. So I added them to my own block Nan's Diamond copyright 2002. I added appliqued orchad flowers from a purchased print and used a red thread with a button hole stitch around the edges giving it a red work 'look'. I had April Sproule of Sproule Studios in Fortuna, Ca. to use her artistic magic with her marvelous machine quilting. It just sets this quilt off with her amazing quilt work! Don't you agree!
memories
Name of Maker: AZsunrise
memories - On our family vacation, I bought the floral fabric on The Big Island and just loved the beautiful colors. It was fun to use my stash to make the bars. I can't wait to make another one! So simple but so much fun!
Happy Spring
Name of Maker: Stefanie Hank
Happy Spring - A raw edge fusible design with hand embroidery. All easter fabrics.
Bedouin Coffee Pot
Name of Maker: carsnquilts
Bedouin Coffee Pot - I used a postcard my son sent me from the Middle East in the early 90's. Angelina fibers were heated and pressed to make it seem as if the sun was reflecting off the water. Metal shim was used for the pot - which was too shiney. I wrinkled the shim then used black paint which I rubbed off to give the pot depth.
Winter Hosta
Name of Maker: carsnquilts
Winter Hosta - This quilt was made as a class project in the Flower Power class by Susan Brittingham at Quilt University in early 2007.
Purple Delicious
Name of Maker: Krista Black
Purple Delicious - Inspired by a stack of fabrics I was auditioning for an exchange block, I thought the colors looked delicious together, so made a quilt just to enjoy the fabrics.
Hearts and Feathers
Name of Maker: anne carter
Hearts and Feathers - I recently attended a workshop with Lee Cleeland (author; Feathers That Fly), here in Grafton, NSW.Australia. I really enjoyed the process of drafting the feathers to fit spaces, on paper. It's addictive! It's quite another thing free motion quilting them! This is my first attempt and by no means perfect but I'm pretty happy with it. I enjoyed the discipline and so it's different from regular free motion quilting.

Unamed
Name of Maker: Nancy C Tatro
Unamed - I make scrap quilts, but I saw this "Surf and Sand" collection from Benartex and really needed to make a quilt from it. This quilt pieced up in a long evening!
Said the Spider to the Fly
Name of Maker: Bluespirit
Said the Spider to the Fly - This quilt was part of Gail Garber's group challenge called "Favorites". We were allowed to choose any kind of favorite so I chose a childhood nursery rhyme that I always remembered. This piece is hand appliqued, machine quilted and includes some embroidery and embellishment.
Just a Test
Name of Maker: Pamela Cozby
Just a Test - Used EQ6 layout and standard blocks with my own scanned in fabrics. Paper pieced. Quilted with a design I digitized based on a design in one of the fabrics.
Summer Sunflowers
Name of Maker: Pamela Cozby
Summer Sunflowers - I printed the sunflower design on silk paper that I made. I digitized the design in Bernina V6 embroidery sofware and quilted with that design. I free motion quilted the background with a large stipple design. There is an odd assortment of yellow fabric used for the piecing from silk to burlap to add texture.

Around the World and Home Again - This small quilt was designed and created as a part of the License Plate Challenge hosted by Glacier Quilts in Kalispell MT. Entries could be any style or technique and were limited only by the fact that they had to fit inside the license plate frame.
