nansbranch Del's Christmas Spirit - I made this quilt to raise money for a friend with cancer. It was raffled off during a fnd raising dinner at the Mateel Counity Center in Redway, Ca. I took a class from Beth Ferrer and learned to make Picky and Spike and Flying Geese quilt Blocks. So I added them to my own block Nan's Diamond copyright 2002. I added appliqued orchad flowers from a purchased print and used a red thread with a button hole stitch around the edges giving it a red work 'look'. I had April Sproule of Sproule Studios in Fortuna, Ca. to use her artistic magic with her marvelous machine quilting. It just sets this quilt off with her amazing quilt work! Don't you agree!
