Star of Bethlaham - Variation - My first quilt. Machine pieced and hand quilted.

Lago Di Como I - Inspired by photos taken during a trip to Lake Como, Italy April, 2007. Base of quilt consists of 2"squares then fused applique which was stitched down w/monofilament thread in a zig-zag stitch. Textile paints were added to achieve an impressionistic look. Free motion simple quilting was done to not take away from image. Some of the fabrics are batiks and variety of commercial cottons. I made this quilt while I was living in Mexico City, Mexico DF. I have a few versions of Lake Como, Italy quilts in progress. Will upload these quilts when completed.

Kaleidoscope Jewel - I Wanted to get rid of some scrap fabric, and what better way than a Kaleidoscope. These things can become addictive. The border and binding fabric was the only one purchased for this quilt

Kimono - My all polish cousin has her home in all oriental red and black. I wanted to add some color to her home but keep in line with her theme. This was my thank you gift to her for her kindness to my daughter and I when we were in Florida.

Fairy Picnic

Mademoiselle Cabernet Sauvignon - Displayed in the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum's 2007 show entitled "Gingham Dogs and Calico Cats." This classy, four-year old standard poodle (Caby) is the canine love of Sandra's life. Swarovski crystals around her neck and a pink velvet bow in her ear show just how pampered a furry friend can be!

Ella's First Birthday! - Made for my grand daughter for her first birthday using wonderful KP Kids fabric and absolutely no contrast!

Underground Railroad - I decided to spice up the sashing.

Lake Above Boulder, CO - Li's 4th thread painting.... This is from a painting and photo I took on a hike. This is one of my favorite places and on that day the water was beautiful. I wanted to try water again as I enjoyed doing the ocean waves on the first one.

Home on Whidbey

Aloha Maui - This quilt is inspired by the leis that are sold here. A little gecko peeks out to say, "Aloha!".

Happiness - Quilt made as a door prize for a Quilt Christmas luncheon. Used scraps. This was so fun to make, fusable applique and machine embrodiery

Ty Ty's Quilt - I used minkee squares on the front and flannel on the back. Learning to quilt in the ditch and match my corners.

Maycee's Quilt - I'm a beginning quilter so this is stitched in the ditch on minkee fabric. Minkee on front and back.
