BQ2 in the Pink - This was donated to the Central Florida Chapter of Project Linus. I hope it brings some local child comfort in these trying times.

Remembering Grandmother's Garden - The was a "mystery quilt" project in The Applique Society newsletter in 2006-2007. Ricky Tims' Rhapsody quilt designs gave me the idea for the design of the frame for the wreath. I also used his piping technique in the frame and a double piping for the binding. The quilt's debut will be at my Friendship Knot Quilters' Guild quilt show in Sarasota, FL, March 13-14, 2009.

Helping Hands Challenge "Independence" - When I first read about this challenge, I was so touched that I could help in a very small way by purchasing the required fabric for the Helping Hands Challenge. When the fabric arrived, I was impressed by the gorgeous texture and color and the personal information I received about the fabric maker. Deciding to use only the challenge fabrics and keeping with an African theme, I chose to use an African Adinka symbol, “Fawohodie” which is a symbol for “independence”. The Fabric for Life Program has tremendously helped these women to better their lives by creating a way for independency. I didn’t want to forget this so I created this image in this small quilt. I also would like to give thanks to Sylvia Davis who recently presented a trunk show about African Quilts at my local Guild meeting which included explaining the Adinka symbols. I didn't make the deadline for the Challenge, but wanted to post it anyway....

Quilter's Palette - I wanted to make this quilt ever since seeing it on Annie Smith's site" Simple Arts Blog" and signed up for her online class to make it when she offered it as a class. Learned many wonderful techniques and tips doing this quilt.

Turtle Pond - This quilt started in a workshop with Jan Krentz. Based on her "Monet" technique. It reminds me of the North Idaho summers I spent growing up. After the background was pieced I appliqued on birds , cattails and other flower and grasses. The chipmunks are photo transfered and paint enhanced

My First Quilt - This was my first attempt and first completed quilt. I wanted my first project to be something easy but flashy.

Summer Time - One of the Physician Assisants that I work with was collecting "crafty" things for a silent auction for there convention in Ocean City, MD. I surprised her with this quilt, from what I heard it started a big bidding war. I enjoyed making this quilt, quick and easy, just like the book said it would be.

not named - I made this quilt for a friend of mine. This is her second child, first girl. She was thrilled to received this quilt

not named - I made this quilt for my brother and sister in law, they live in the mountains on 40 acres. I have, almost, successfully furnished their whole house with quilts, couple more to go. They use them all the time

Mad About Plaid - The sample of this design is a very cute country red and green. The batiks in the kit I bought really appealed to me, and I love my version of Teri's pattern.

Glory Be! - This little quilt is my favorite by far. The friendship stars are a great touch. I like the narrow outer border for a pretty hand quilted design. Rather than embroider stars in the blue field, I hand quilt a wonky star. I've made several of this design and never grow tired of it.

Patriotic Quiilt - I saw this is a magazine, name now forgotten, and loved it.

Halloween - I found this cute Haloween quilt pattern in a magazine, the name of which I cannot remember.

Fully Rely on God - This quilt was made with the help of my daughter's second grade class as a fund raiser for the private school where she teaches.
