Florence's Table Runner - I designed this in EQ6 after scanning the fabrics & drawing the block design. The colors are a little off in the picture, but I didn't know I was going to be showing it off here!

My Third Quilt - I made the blocks 20 or 25 years ago, put them together this past year & practiced lots of freehand machine quilting. It's a mess and I love it.

Mariner's Compass - I made this wall hanging at a Sioux Prairie Quilt Guild workshop. It was the first time I used templates and I'm amazed this quilt is actually flat! I was stumped as to how to quilt it, but the inspiration hit me while I was in the shower one morning! I love when that happens! :-)

New York Beauty - I paper pieced this New York Beauty from a pattern published in "Love of Quilting" magazine. The fabric matches our family room. A local Long-arm quilter did a fantastic job with the quilting!

Green Quilt - This was a mystery quilt class I took part in one weekend. I don't know the name of the block.

Aiden's Quilt - This is a baby sized quilt I made for the birth of my great-nephew.

Red Rock Church - Fusible Applique pattern found in Sedona, AZ

Self Portrait - Part of the 'Look At Me' Challenge for the Simi Valley Quilt Show 2008. Proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.

Home of the Brave - This quilt was made in May, 2008 to be presented to the family of a brave soldier who sacrificed his life for his country.

Tree Frog - This small wall hanging is of a four lined tree frog which I photographed one day in our garden. The design is constructed using satin stitch machine applique and rayon thread. It is quilted using variegated cotton and invisible thread.

Male Pied Hornbill - The pied hornbill is quite a common bird where we live, but very distinctive with its large toucan like casque. We had a pair in our garden for a while last year and I photographed them and then created this design of the male hornbill. The design is constructed using invisible machine applique with batik fabrics on a printed ombre fade background and quilted with a leaf pattern in two different shades of variegated cotton thread and a random pattern in the border.

Jasper - Inspired by an old and faded photo of our first cat, foundation pieced background and machine applique

Poppies - Inspired by an illustration in a very old book on wild flowers, hand stitched using silk threads.

Snowy Slience Revisited - The wall hanging included fabric panel, FPP, Machine embordery and quilting. I used Ricky's technique for binding the quilt. Unfortunately, I didn't have the acrylic template to miter to corners.

mills of Norfolk - Through the internet I had just discovered the pictures of the mill at Oxnead Norfolk U.K. My fathers family ran that mill for extended generations. It is now a historic site with lots of history dating back to the 1600's. I became attached to the picture and decided to produce a quilt representing the mill wheel.
