New York Beauty

This is the quilt I made using Alex Anderson's paper piecing book. This labor of love took me 10 months to make on my Viking sewing machine. And 5 minutes to learn the lesson of a lifetime. I now am a firm believer in prewashing as you can see it bleed when I washed it.

Just realised she got the info from Suzy Quilts - lots of good advice on there - Elaine

"the Crafty Quilter" has a post dated 1/4/18 on how she fixed the bleed on a quilt she had made and washed - you might like to try this (maybe stitch a few of the leftover pieces into a tiny flimsy and try the method on the fabrics in your quilt before you dunk the big one). I think your quilt is beautiful so I hope you can fix the problem. Elaine
