krwatts This is my original design using the nine-patch block, The center 9-patches were made using Ricky's improvisational curved piecing technique, with the curved sashing pieces machine appliqued on top. The quilt was designed for the New Quilts From an Old Favorite contest and is one of the 18 finalists. The quilt's title came from a song my husband was working on at the time with a lifelong friend in California. Sadly our friend passed away in April 2015 from cancer, making this quilt doubly meaningful to me.
