Purple Haze over the Strait of Georgia

Purple Haze over the Strait of Georgia - Three friends and I quilted together for a few years, challenging and encouraging each other and having fun. One of our group suggested we all make this pattern (Strait of Georgia) from M'liss Rae Hawley's book More Fat Quarter Quilts and compare our different styles. The purples I used are from a packet I purchased in Sisters, and the white background is scrappy. I started the quilt when we were still a group, and finally finished it last year. I used silk batting and love the light weight and warmth, and the ease of hand quilting through it.
