Carpenter Star Quilt

Carpenter Star Quilt - I made this Carpenter Star Quilt after seeing a free quilt pattern on the website Maryquilts.com , for a lap size version of this jumbo block. I used the Accuquilt GO! cutter and the 6 1/2 inch hst die to cut my blocks. I designed an original border for the quilt, as I wanted to make a queen size quilt. This quilt was made for my brother Pierre and his wife Christa's wedding gift. It was machine pieced and machine quilted by Ariane Kring (that's me). I quilted it on a 30 year old Kenmore domestic sewing machine. It was definitely a challenge. But, it was well worth the effort. They loved their gift.
