amonserud Mary's Retirement - When Mary retired from her long-time position as a school librarian, I made this quilt in her honor. Many of her colleagues contributed memories (in the form of book titles) along with their name (as book author) and some even contributed fabric for their book spines. Two other friends and I added the "titles" and "authors" to strips of colorful iron-on tape using permanent inks. The quilt commemorates her outstanding career as a media specialist in the schools.
