Queen Bee

Queen Bee - The original pattern was paper pieced and pieced. I drafted my own smaller block size and pieced all the blocks. I machine quilted hexagons to make it look like a bee hive and free handed the queen bee on top of the "hive." My brothers called me "queenie," because they believed that my parents didn't make me work as hard as they had too and that my father let me get away with things. So I named it Queen Bee.
