California Poppies

California Poppies - I was inspired by a picture on a catalog by Coldwater Creek of a field of poppies in all the colors you see in this quilt. I used all batik fabrics and to make the center I cut a square of freezer paper, folded it corner to corner twice and cut a giant snowflake to get the center design. I then fused it with fusible web and satin stitched all around. I added the simple stars all around, and this time all the points are perfect! Lastly, I added the poppies with the fusible web, winging it on the shapes.
