Castle Rock

Castle Rock - I had the wonderful fortune of being able to attend a workshop by sue Gilgen in which she introduced me to raw-edge applique and fusible webbing. Sue helped me choose the fabrics, which I think makes the quilt so beautiful. This quilt reminds me of our family vacations on a houseboat at Lake Powell.

I live in Price. UT, which is on the way from Provo to Lake Powell. I'm sure I've seen this area. The landscape is breath-taking. It is called Castle Country because of the formations on the hills and it is very dry here, so it isn't green everywhere. The ground shows through the vegetation. This is a beautiful quilt, very representative of this area. Good job, Kim. I love it.
