PattyinFlorida Happy Anniversary - Made by my 7 1/2 yr old neighbor and I. It began as a sampler and then became a photo quilt for her grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. We made blocks without a plan for the finished quilt. Then I was stuck. I had random collection of blocks and a deadline. I turned the edges of the blocks with Misty Fuse and laid them out on a large piece of wholecloth background fabric. I added the star points to help pull the design together. Then I ironed down the blocks with a piece of parchment between the Misty fuse and the block. I did machine applique and then cut away the background fabric (and the Misty Fuse bound to it) that was behind each block, the the top was soft. This turned out to be a great way to assemble a sampler in a hurry.
