One Who Walked Away

One Who Walked Away - This is my first experience using Jaquard dyna-flo dyes on silk. I love the saturation and vibrancy I got but I used almost all of my dye (sampler 8 pack) on this small piece of silk. At the time I was also doing a lot of bobbin sewing with some gorgeous sulky thread designed for sergers. The design emerged by following dye lines that started to remind me of a story I read in college by Ursula LeGuin: "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omeleas".
